UTC Aerospace Systems Vacancy Available

Subject: YINI Engineering & Business/Finance Placements just confirmed with UTC Aerospace Systems

Good afternoon,

I’m delighted to confirm that one of our regular supporting companies in Plymouth, UTC Aerospace Systems, have confirmed 8 YINI Placements will be available from this August/September.

About UTC: Every second a plane takes off with UTC Aerospace Systems equipment onboard. From space exploration and defence to today’s more electric, more intelligent, more integrated aircraft – their systems make modern flight possible. And by “make it possible,” UTC mean: They start it, power it, control it, ventilate it, quiet it, land it, stop it and monitor it!

At their Plymouth site, UTC Aerospace design and manufacture products for control, navigation and guidance for surface and air applications in the global aerospace and defence markets.

Placement Descriptions: There are 8 roles available in total: 4 in Engineering, 2 in Quality Engineering, 1 in Finance and 1 in Applications Support – please see the attached Placement document for further details on each role.

About YINI: We help to place pre-university students into paid placements with companies across the UK, following completion of their A levels (or equivalent) and before they start their degree. We help students prepare for company applications and continue to support them during their year-long placement, offering free access to the Master Class Series (for work-ready and technical skill workshops) and students can gain an Industrial Accreditation at the end of their placement.

We are excited about working with UTC again this year, as they provide excellent placements and support to their YINI students.

Benefits: Successful YINI placements with UTC Aerospace Plymouth often lead to sponsorship and paid work throughout your degree and the potential to join their 2 year Graduate programme.

How to Apply:

  1. Fill in the attached CV template
  2. Provide a copy of your Evidence of your Right To Work in the UK (Owing to the nature of the work, potential candidates will be subject to Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) and background checks and that project access restrictions may apply to some nationalities)
  3. Email your completed CV and Passport copy to Nick Aisbitt on n.aisbitt@etrust.org.uk
  4. Confirm in your email which role(s) you would like to apply for.

Deadline to Apply: Monday 28th May 2018

If you have any questions regarding these roles or the YINI scheme in general, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
