Last Thursday, we hosted our annual Post-16 Open Evening, bringing together our A level/Level 3 teaching staff, local colleges and local universities.
Our focus for the evening was the next step, as students and parents were able to talk with teachers about the courses they teach, and local colleges about the courses that are on offer to Coombe Dean students. We welcomed our collaborative colleges along to highlight the various BTEC courses at Discovery, Norpro, Achievement and South West Art Warehouse that can be studied alongside Coombe Dean courses. Marjon and Cardiff University were on hand to discuss aspirations and students future pathways.
It was a very well attended evening, supported by a number of current Post 16 students and a selection of our alumni. This marks the beginning of the application process, and application forms are available from the Post 16 Reception and Year 11 Tutors – students should return their forms by February half term.
